I did my own wedding, and I think that’s the only way to go. I love huge bouquets, and mine was definitely a show stopper. I like to work with brides to get the look they want in a price range they’re comfortable with and use flowers that are in season. Since blueberries weren’t in season and no blue privet berries could be found, I was able to find cedars in my own back yard that were covered in blue berries. Red Pom Dahlias were swapped in favor of cheaper burgundy carnations with soft round petals. The boutonnière featuring the more cost effective carnation is a framed keepsake now.
